Prisons are Abhorrent

Tuesday, July 13th, 2010

The Chakra Constitution http://forum.worldfreemansociety.org/viewtopic.php?f=184&t=6187 clearly states:

7. let entity be traveler or do move

Prison is a restriction on a persons ability to be a traveler and to do the activity of movement.
Therefore prisons are unconstitutional and thereby abhorrent.

As an alternative, courts can be a sorting facility.
Where a person on trial, is questioned as to their beliefs and wishes
then sent to a polity that is more consistent with their beliefs.

For instance a violent person could be sent to a war zone, border area or an area where violence is acceptable.
Indeed a violent person might certainly benefit the society by defending the society with their violence.
For more minor infringements, they might simply be recommended a job where violence might be encountered, such as security or patrol.

Polities can be abundant and diverse with atom-tribes,
each tribe has it’s own DNA, or plan, which includes a set of policies,
So there each tribe is a polity, and thereby there are a diversity of polities to send to.

Each atom-tribe has a diversity of jobs available,
though if a person can’t function beneficially within the tribe,
they can be sent to a “sorting court” from where they can find a more suitable home.

If an entity goes back to the banishing tribe after such a point,
and the tribe is aversed by them, then the tribe can defend itself.
Perhaps thanks to some enlisted security and patrol people.

agreed

but short shooting everyone who breaks the law we got to do something.
that would be wasteful,
and karmically painful.

Can prison be operated better for sure, as to how, well i donno.
Beyond the first few paragraphs I proposed a solution.

That we use atom-tribes for our polity borderlines.
And then make the highest level of punishment to be banishment.

An atom-tribe consists of between 1 (hydrogen) and 92 (uranium) peoples.
So can easily keep track of everyone in the tribe, with a homo-sapien brain.
That way a banishment rule is enforceable.

However if an entity repeatedly attacks a tribe.
Their debt in relation to the tribe can escalate.
At some point their debt is higher than they can pay,
including how much they can projectively earn in their lifetimes.
We can calculate how much by using price calculation,
Such as (time+mass)^chakra/abundance*utility.
So their lives can be taken as payment.

It would be good to have a record
of the accounts with all people
the tribe interacts with.
As well as transactions.

Fortunately for the banished,
There are many other atom-tribes.
Perhaps if they are beneficial to people,
they can stay in one for a long time.

Some excellent questions freeman tadd! *hugs*
You seem genuinely aware and projective.
There can be a general election in an atom tribe every winter solstice.

Every atom-tribe member votes.
Every atom-tribe member is voted on.
Every atom-tribe member can only vote once per member.
There are three types of votes, yes (+1), no (-1) and maybe(0).

If someone has a negative score,
and if it’s absolute (positive version)
is greater than or equal to a third of the atom tribe members.
Then they are automatically banished.

in example:
if there are 3 (lithium) members in the atom tribe.
the votes are
assuming the member voted +1 for themselves:
-1, -1, +1
the total score is -1
absolute of -1 is 1
a third of 3 is 1,
1 (score) >= 1 (third),
so banished.

In a future meeting,
the tribe may decide to rehire the banished,
though the banished should leave,
until such a request occurs.

If a request does happen,
it be in domain of the requested entity,
to decide what to do about it.

For the remaining members,
the ranks are distributed according to their voted score.
group is of up to 2 groupies and a group leader, (max in meeting 3)
team has 2 groups and a team leader, (max in meeting 7)
an admin has consults with up to 6 team leaders, (max in meeting 7)
note the team leaders also comprise a 2 group and 1 leader formation.
also consults with potentially other admins (up to 2 or 3 admins total).

Leaders can be priviliged by having an extra vote when voting with their group
so they can effectively veto or stall a motion.

If it is unclear which rank someone is in,
can have a tie-breaker vote,
between tied people.

A tie breaker vote is,
where each voter only gets a single +1 vote.
The same method is used in most contemporary political elections.

groupies can select what group they are in,
group leader chooses the team they are in.
team leader chooses which admin they bond with.

There are atom-tribe project elections every equinox.
To aid in community spirit there is a potlatch party.

It’s good to have party a week before an election.
The week after the party is for people,
to have clear heads on election day.

sorry but if they can’t live your society
I’m not sure if I want them in mine.
Before allowing members into your tribe,
can certainly have a resume and interview process.

Also potentially some tribes may opt to give public records of tribe-member behavior.
If some tribes are concerned what a banished member might do,
it would be well to notify neighbors of their banishment,
so they understand the entity is acting on their own.

Gone are the days we could just put people on islands.
Well we still have a lot of land left my dear friend.
Antarctica is an empty continent,
and there is plenty of space on and beneath the ocean,
as well as some space is available within the earth,
and potentially colonies on other planets.

I’m an active participant in Seasteading Institute forum conversations,
and actively discuss it on the Seasteading Institute http://seasteading.org
We have ideas for ferrocement marine structures,
and modular islands consisting of them.

Much of Canada is still empty,
especially the far north.

The First Nations have legal grounds for separation,
and so any push fronted by them can certainly,
create a new and different form of order.

They are quite strong on Manitoulin in the east of Canada,
and the Coastal North West of British Columbia in the west of Canada.

Please remember that the Canadian military,
only has 3 submarines, and none are on active duty.
One at some time was in an Edmonton mall.

Wordplay is far more Canada’s strong point.
Being the politest nation on earth,
implies linguistic protocol finesse.

A member can leave volitionally,
anytime that it suits them,
they are constitutionally supported,
by statute 7 let entity be traveler or do move.
